The ARC is dedicated to the rescue of domestic animals. ARC is committed to taking in adoptable, domestic animals through transfers from over-crowded shelters. ARC aims to pair animals with responsible, loving owners. Adoptable animals will never be put down at ARC. Unhealthy animals will receive necessary veterinary care.

Mission Statement: The Hunterdon Somerset Animal Rescue Center is dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals. The ARC will provide services that support the human-animal bond and seek to foster an environment in which people respect all living creatures.

The Hunterdon Somerset Animal Rescue Center's Mission:

*To provide a safe, clean, compassionate shelter for all animals within care of the ARC

*To match adoptable animals with responsible, loving homes

*To reduce overpopulation of domestic animals through spaying/neutering all animals prior to their adoption, and through community education programs

*To provide humane care and necessary veterinary treatment to all ARC animals

*To create a better future for domestic animals by facilitating their rescue from over-crowded high-kill shelters in New Jersey and placing them in safe foster homes or adoptive homes
